Noah Spivey, Lower School “Showcased Expert”
Fifth-grader Noah Spivey has been highlighted in Prince lower school as a “Showcased Expert”. Noah wrote a paper and brought pictures to share his personal experience and knowledge of hunting for display on a bulletin board on the lower school hallway.
The Showcased Expert bulletin board was launched by fourth-grade teacher Danny Delgado as a way to allow students who have a particular interest to share their knowledge with their fellow classmates.
Mr. Delgado explains, “Sharing with a wider audience teaches other students something they may not already know, encourages students to write and share their expertise and passions, and in this instance, invites other hunting enthusiasts to connect with Noah.”
Appearing on the bulletin board is also a commitment to an extra project. Noah completed a one-page essay and brought in pictures, antlers, and a turkey feather for his board. He was responsible for designing the board and stayed after school in order to assemble the display.
Mr. Delgado hopes to continue the Showcased Expert bulletin board for future students to share their expertise. “The board shows that we value every single student at Prince and encourages them to embrace who God made them to be.”
