Congressman Jody Hice to speak at Prince Graduation
Prince Avenue Christian School will hold the Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2021 on Saturday, May 15th at 7:00 pm at Brad Akins Field. Congressman Jody Hice will give the charge to graduates.
Congressman Jody Hice is an Atlanta native and raised in Tucker, Georgia. He and his wife of over thirty years, Dee Dee, reside in Greene County and have two daughters and four grandchildren.
Prior to taking office, Congressman Hice served as a pastor in three Georgia counties for almost 25 years. He also served as Professor of Preaching at Luther Rice Seminary and as the First Vice President of the Georgia Baptist Convention from 2004 to 2005. After leading a legal battle to display the Ten Commandments in a local courthouse in 2003, Congressman Hice launched a conservative talk radio program. As the host of “The Jody Hice Show”, he reached 400 stations daily until being elected in 2014. Additionally, in 2008, Congressman Hice was a founding leader of the “Pulpit Freedom Sunday” movement, which today organizes thousands of pastors across the country to openly challenge the Internal Revenue Service’s ban on political free speech from the pulpit.
Congressman Hice took office in 2015 as the Representative of Georgia’s 10th Congressional District and is the Communications Chair of the House Freedom Caucus, leading the group’s messaging efforts on a weekly podcast.
