Brambhatt Named 2022 STAR Student
Prince Avenue senior Damian Brambhatt has been named the 2022 STAR Student for Prince Avenue Christian School, scoring the highest on one sitting of the SAT test this year. He selected high school science teacher Dale Autry as his STAR Teacher.
Damian is the son of Vishab Brambhatt and Ingrid Allcast and has attended Prince for seven years. Damian is a member of the National Honor Society and the National Beta Club. He has received the University of Georgia Certificate of Merit and has been recognized as a Wolverine Academian with one of the top three grade point averages in his class for both his freshman and junior years. Damian is on the Varsity Boys Tennis and Cross Country Teams. He attends Athens church where he also volunteers with special outreach projects.
When asked about his choice of STAR Teacher, Damian explains that he always looks forward to Mr. Autry’s class. “The way Mr. Autry teaches his class is always engaging and hands-on.” Damian also explains that the teachers and administrators at Prince have been attentive to helping him reach his educational and extra-curricular goals. “Prince has helped me reach my goals, especially in terms of applying to colleges, and that is something I really appreciate.”
Mr. Autry is in his 27th year of teaching having taught the last 10 years at Prince. He describes Damian as an extremely gifted student and athlete. “Damian always works to the best of his ability to excel and to help others excel. Teachers, coaches, and students all love having Damian on their team.”
Damian hopes to attend either the United States Air Force Academy or the University of Georgia and plans to study aerospace engineering.
