Prince Literary Team Wins Region Championship and Places in State
The Prince Avenue Christian School Literary Team recently had a successful showing at both region and state GHSA Literary Meet. The team placed first in the GHSA Region 5A | Division 1 competition. The following students won first place in their events:
- Wade David: Argumentative Essay
- Georgia Powell: Personal Essay
- Kaylor Jones: Humorous Interpretation
- Natalie Schroeder: Dramatic Interpretation
- Dylan Capps, Cooper Capps, Michael Moretti, and Daniel Schroeder: Quartet
Additional placements included Dylan Capps – 2nd in Boys Solo, Maisie Davis, Claire Gann, and Bella Rosenthal – 2nd in Girls Trio, and Hayden Melton – 2nd in Literary Essay.
The team then advanced to compete in the Single A | Division 1 state competition held in Bremen, Georgia on March 25th and placed third overall. Senior Claire Gann placed 1st in Girls Solo, senior Kaylor Jones placed 1st in Humorous Interpretation, and sophomore Dylan Capps, junior Michael Moretti, senior Cooper Capps, and freshman Daniel Schroeder placed 2nd in Quartet.
Congratulations to these students for a fantastic showing at the region and state levels in Literary Meet competition.
