Prince Middle Grades Enjoy Educational Trips
One highlight of the spring semester for Prince middle schoolers is trip week. Each class takes an educational trip that becomes the highlight of their school year as a class.
Prince 6th-graders enjoyed a fun and educational three-day trip to Savannah, Georgia. Students enjoyed learning Georgia history at the Massey Heritage Center, at Fort Jackson, and on the trolley tour of historic downtown Savannah. Students also applied their science knowledge at the Tybee Island Marine Center where students dissected a squid and visited the Tybee lighthouse. They also enjoyed a visit to the Oatland Island Wildlife Center where students were able to interact with animals indigenous to the wetlands of Georgia. Everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner at Lady and Sons and a fun visit to River Street.
Prince 7th-graders enjoyed learning about God’s creative power and redemptive love during their trip to Kentucky and Ohio. Students visited the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum as well as the home of Harriet Beecher Stowe and the Cincinnati History Museum. The group also enjoyed a riverboat cruise experiencing the beauty of the Ohio River and the cities on its banks.
Prince 8th-grade students enjoyed learning about our nation’s history on an exciting and educational tour of Washington D.C. Prince partnered with American Christian Tours allowing students to see our nation’s historical landmarks from a Christian perspective. The group viewed monuments and memorials, toured the Smithsonian and Holocaust Museums, visited the White House, U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress, and the Supreme Court buildings, and experienced the privilege of laying a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknowns.
