College Applications/Transcripts over Christmas Break

Seniors,

Christmas Holidays are right around the corner… a few details for you to remember:

1. Typically, if YOUR deadline to submit a college application is January 1 that means MY deadline for sending your transcript and counselor recommendation is January 8. 
2. YOU must fill out a “transcript request form (TRF)” if YOU want me to send your transcript to a college.  There is no way for me to know where you are applying unless you tell me via the TRF.  Even if you do your application via the “common app” and you enter my email address…I still need you to fill out the TRF to ensure I send it correctly. 
3. YOU must submit the TRF well in advance of the DEADLINE!  YOU cannot wait until the day of to let me know or it may not be sent in time.  January 8 is on a MONDAY, so best case scenario is for you to submit your request BEFORE Christmas Break begins.  When we come back from Christmas holidays, it is a very busy time with sending report cards and drop add.   If you let me know before we leave for break….this will give me plenty of time to prepare your letter of recommendation, etc. 

A few senior statistics…as of today…41 of 60 seniors have applied to college.  Of those 41 seniors …they have applied to a total of 107 colleges!!!!
