On Thursday, March 21st, 2024, the Prince Avenue Christian School Library will host author and publisher Daniel Nayeri.
Daniel Nayeri was born in Iran and spent some years as a refugee before immigrating to Oklahoma at the age of eight with his family. He is the author of several books for young readers, including Everything Sad is Untrue (A True Story) [winner of the Michael L. Printz Award, the Christopher Medal, and the Middle Eastern Book Award] and The Many Assassinations of Samir, The Seller of Dreams [winner of Newbery Honor].
The visit will be filled with opportunities for parents, students, and teachers to interact with Mr. Nayeri. The Prince community to encouraged to participate by reading Mr. Nayeri’s books and becoming familiar with his personal story.
Prince parents will have the unique opportunity to hear directly from Daniel Nayeri regarding his experience in the publishing industry and the ways that Christian parents can navigate the challenges of selecting appropriate content for their young readers. Space is limited, and registration is required.
