Library Class Visits
All lower school classes from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade have a scheduled time to visit the library. The librarian reads a story and the students check out books. Biblical truth and application are discussed with each story.
Students in the fourth and fifth grades may check out two books each week. Kindergarten through third-grade students are allowed to check one book each week. If any student finishes reading a book before the next scheduled library time, he or she may exchange it for another book title.
Students are taught the Dewey Decimal classification system, different genres of literature, research techniques, basic book care, and an introduction to the reference materials available in the library.

Book Fairs
The Prince Library hosts two book fairs each year, usually in November and late April or early May. The purpose of the book fairs is to earn funds to purchase new books for the library collection. In the spring, the book fair generally includes titles on the Prince Avenue Christian School Summer Reading List.
